ON THE OUTER WORLD OF ACTION
FROM MY INNER WORLD OF DREAMS

On the Outer World of Action from My Inner World of Dreams was installed as part of Recreational Ground VI, a site specific piece for the soon-to-be-demolished social architecture of the Aylesbury Estate in Elephant and Castle, London.

The laser cut shapes of different mind states play with scale, light, colour and texture to create symbologies and empathy. Scattered in space, they choreograph a playground where they act as props charming the visitors’ body and mind to participate with their own movement and mental imagery in the experience of a collective mindscape. In the car park of Wendover House, they hang and lean on the architecture in almost humanised poses, interacting with the vaults, concrete and relicts of the architecture of the estate, echoing the ghost of implicit stories, utopian dreams and politics that hunt the place.
