A family workshop, produced for Chisenhale Summer Festival 2021, exploring the imaginative products of social interaction and family relations after the experience of Covid-19 lockdowns.

Working collaboratively children and parents, mapped their playing and interactions prompted by a set of instrucitons. They worked, drew, moved and danced over a 100 x 70 cm paper playmat, and thus produced a joyful diagram of their being together. The project evolves from, and shares with other families, my own experience of being in a lockdown with my two daughters of the 1 and 3 years, experiencing confinement in a small space, often limiting and disrupting each other. And yet, in restriction, discovering one another as a creative resource. And using of drawing and mapping as a mean to take stock of our affective relations.
